Group Jewellery Workshop Terms & Conditions

1. Health & Safety

Some jewellery-making techniques involve tools, heat, and sharp materials. By booking, you agree to follow all safety instructions from your tutor. We reserve the right to stop a participant from continuing if safety guidance is not followed.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

  • Your booking is for the specific date and time selected and is non-transferable within 14 days of the workshop.

3. Cancellations & Refunds (Consumer Rights)

Cooling-Off Period (Online & Distance Bookings)

  • If you book online or by phone, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel and receive a full refund unless your class takes place within that period.

  • If your workshop is due to take place within 14 days, and you agree to the service beginning, you forfeit the right to cancel after the class is completed.

4. Our Small Business Policy on Last-Minute Cancellations

We understand that life happens and plans can change. However, as a small, independent business with very limited spaces per workshop, we aren’t able to offer refunds or reschedule bookings within 14 days of your workshop date.

This is because:

  • Your space has been reserved just for you, and we may not be able to fill it at short notice.

  • Materials and preparation time go into each individual booking well in advance.

  • Last-minute cancellations directly impact our ability to sustain and run our workshops.

That said, we will always do our best to help. If you can no longer attend:

  • You’re welcome to send someone else in your place (just let us know their name in advance).

  • We may be able to help find someone to take your spot—contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do what we can.

5. Changes to Your Booking

  • You may request a date change with 15 or more days’ notice. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability.

  • We are unable to move bookings with 14 days or less notice.

6. If We Cancel a Workshop

If we ever need to cancel a class (due to illness, emergencies, etc.), we will:

  • Offer an alternative date, or

  • Provide a full refund of your workshop fee.

We are not liable for any additional costs you may have incurred (e.g., travel or accommodation).

7. What to Expect

You’ll create a unique, handmade item using traditional jewellery-making techniques. Slight imperfections are a natural part of the handmade process and are part of what makes your piece special.

8. Participant Information

  • Our group classes are for adults (18+). Please contact us if you’d like to bring a younger participant.

  • If you have accessibility needs, allergies, or health conditions we should be aware of, please let us know before the class so we can support you.

9. Photos & Social Media

We sometimes take photos during workshops to use on our website and social channels. If you’d prefer not to appear in photos, please let us know at the start of your session.
